Underwater Digital Photographer Specialty

The PADI Underwater Digital Photographer Specialty course can help you learn how to take your first underwater photographs or fine tune your existing skills to produce photographs that you can print, create slide shows, or send over the internet that will stun your friends.

What do I need to start?

• PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
• Minimum age: 10 years old

What will I do?

You'll learn the basics of underwater digital photography such as composition, camera handling, with special emphasis on practical techniques. You'll learn underwater photography dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. Software is an important factor in digital photography. How to download your photo, file management, and clean up your photo for viewing as prints, slide show, or just sending them over the internet to your friends and family. You'll also learn how to care for and maintain your camera equipment.

The cost: $210 each for a group of 3 or more, $240 each for two, or $350 for one. This includes one boat trips (two dives), classroom, tanks and weights, and PADI PIC Card. Underwater Digital Photography Crew Pac is required and is not included in the course price. You will need to provide two passport type photos (we have a drugstore next door that does them while you wait). There are no hidden costs in our program.
