Underwater Hunter

The sea has a great bounty of fish and lobster. This course will teach you how to safely take fish and lobster. What is good and what is not so good. What is legal by type, size, season and method? What is the best gun for the type of hunting you will be doing? What are the best methods for taking lobster and how to find them.

This course assumes that at this point your diving skills are second nature. You cannot focus on the hunt if you are playing around with your buoyancy and equipment. Nor can you ignore what is happening around you and how you are affecting the fish by your presence.

• Game fish identification

• Gun types pros and cons

• Gun safety and use

The cost: $240 each for a group of 2 or more, or $370 for one. The maximum size of this class is three people. This includes one boat trips (two dives), classroom, tanks and weights, and PADI PIC Card. Spearfishing and Underwater Hunting Handbook and Sport Fish of Florida books and a Salt Water and Crayfish licenses are required and not included in the course price. You will need to provide two passport size photos (we have a drugstore next door that does them while you wait. Customer is responsible for transportation of themselves and their equipment during the course. There are no hidden costs in our program.

This course goes well with Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Underwater Navigation courses.
