The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

The primary benefit of using Enriched Air/Nitrox is that you are exposed to less nitrogen than when you dive with air. The higher the oxygen content of the EANx blend, the less nitrogen you breathe.

You can make use of this benefit in two ways: either by extending your dive times beyond those you could have with air, or by staying within the limits of an air-based computer or dive table and viewing the subsequent reduction in your exposure to nitrogen as an additional personal safety margin.

How much more time can I be underwater?
An example if you dive to15 metres/50 feet on air, you can gain up to 95 additional minutes of no decompression time by diving on enriched air rather than on air.

How deep can I go?
Successful completion of the Enriched Air Nitrox course allows you to dive to a maximum of 40 metres/130 feet using the appropriate EANx blend within the no decompression limits of the air Recreational Dive Planner, depending upon your certification.

What do I need to start?
You must be at least 15 years of age and be at least a PADI Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another organization). You may also qualify if you are currently enrolled in a PADI Open Water Diver course.

What will I do?
You’ll learn the procedures and preparation necessary to safely dive using enriched air.

The cost: $150. This includes classroom, practical hands on training, PADI PIC Card and Enriched air manual and slates. You will need to provide two passport size photos (we have a drugstore next door that does them while you wait). There are no hidden costs in our program.
